The AP just released their preseason top 25 college football rankings and at first glance we all know the season will be chaos! When the preseason polls are released I love trying to predict who will be the biggest fails of the season. Like last year with Penn State being ranked 2nd and Clemson being ranked 4th on the preseason polls. Both teams would end the year 7-6- OUCH!
As a Pitt fan (7 receiving votes!) I hope Penn State has another failure of a season, but when I look at these preseason polls my mind says one thing “Catholics Vs Convicts is Back”! Miami ranked 7th and Notre Dame ranked 4th, the two will square off on November 7th, and I will say this is my most anticipated game of the year. The two schools fought over 1 playoff spot in 2025, Miami with a heartbreaking National Championship loss will be itching to get back and ND getting stiffed out of a playoff bid will be out for blood on the 7th.

My personal opinion is both of these teams only have 1 loseable game and it is the one against each other. Miami is my number 2 ACC team (H2P baby) and I have always caught myself rooting for Notre Dame as they always played on national TV growing up (shoutout NBC). I can’t pick a side and I am okay with that as the Catholics vs Convicts 30:30 documentary is one of my favorites.
